Organisation is vital when you are involved in EWCs.
In my last post, I talked about the benefits of having regular interpreters for each language combination.
But how can you guarantee you get the same interpreters each time?
The simplest way is to be as organised as possible and book your interpreter well in advance.
As you’ll probably know, EWCs are typically held twice a year, more in the case of exceptional circumstances.
Share your EWC meeting schedule with your interpreter as soon as you have it. That way, he or she can block out the necessary time to prepare for, travel to and attend your meeting.
The majority of my EWC clients, whether I work with them directly or through agencies, provide me with their yearly meeting schedule when it’s released, so I can plan my time accordingly.
How far in advance do you schedule your meetings?
